The purpose of this role is to manage the purchase ledger and procurement process across a wide range of clients and companies we work with.
We are seeking Occupational Health Technician's to join our expanding peripatetic team.
The successful applicant will be required to travel throughout the UK driving a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to client sites in order to deliver health surveillance services and be based in the Preston area.
What we are looking for
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to expand their skills and experience in a supportive environment, where you’ll be given a 4-week Training and Induction Programme with ongoing mentoring and support from the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake health surveillance screening, including audiometry, lung function testing, and general baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis
• To ensure all medical information is accurately recorded in the occupational health records and passed to the relevant clinical staff
• To ensure all equipment is serviceable, clean and fit for purpose
• To undertake and support additional tasks as requested, such as health promotion activities
• Support the wider occupational health team in their duties and ensure that all information is accurately gathered and recorded
• The screening procedures give the nursing and physician staff the biometric information they require to be able to make clinical decisions about patient management;
Travel & Overnight stays
You must have the facility to park the MMU at or near your home address overnight and be comfortable with the travel required for the role, which will include regular overnight stays. We advise that you can be away from home for around 3 out of 4 weeks of the month, however we will always bring you home on the Friday for the weekend.
To support a positive work life balance, you will have:
• Diary Visibility 6 weeks in advance
• £30 subsistence for each night you are away from home
• Access to a Premier Inn account for ease of booking
• Issue of a fuel card
• Plus your Birthday off (additional holiday)
Hours
This is a full-time role where the successful applicant will work 37.5 hours per week, usually between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
Location
The successful applicant will be required to travel throughout the UK driving a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to client sites in order to deliver health surveillance services and be based in the Preston area.
Salary
The salary for this role is between £25K to £27K per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
