Delivery Team Lead

Role Outline

We are seeking a Delivery Team Lead to oversee the successful delivery of platform improvements, technical enhancements, and product rollouts across our health tech ecosystem. This individual will lead a team of Delivery Managers and Senior Delivery Managers and be accountable for planning, execution, and scaling delivery practices across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
• Line manage and mentor a team of Delivery Managers and Senior Delivery Managers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Lead resource planning and support recruitment as the delivery function scales with the wider organisation.
• Coach and upskill delivery team members in agile, lean and hybrid methodologies.
• Champion cross-functional collaboration between product, engineering, operations, and clinical stakeholders.
• Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-cutting technical initiatives affecting over 3 million users.
• Define and maintain delivery frameworks, standards and KPIs aligned to organisational goals.
• Drive forward planning, sprint cadences, release planning, retrospectives, and portfolio-level governance.
• Identify and unblock delivery risks, dependencies, and cross-team challenges early.
• Ensure all delivery processes adhere to relevant regulatory standards (e.g., UK GDPR, NHS DSPT, ISO 27001).
• Work closely with clinical and governance leads to ensure safe, compliant, and auditable release of new functionality.
• Support audit processes and provide documentation where required.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to align delivery plans with strategic business and product goals.
• Contribute to quarterly planning and roadmap development.
• Embed a culture of continuous improvement by leading retrospectives and process reviews.
• Monitor and report on delivery health, outcomes, and team performance using objective metrics.
• Serve as the escalation point for delivery issues and communication across the organisation.
• Communicate effectively with business, product, technical, and clinical leaders to manage expectations and status.
• Lead regular delivery reviews, steering groups, and stakeholder briefings.
What we are looking for
• Proven experience as a Delivery Team Lead or similar senior agile delivery role in a high-scale, regulated tech environment.
• Deep expertise in delivery frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or hybrid approaches.
• Track record of delivering complex digital products or platforms with large user bases.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills, including line management of senior delivery professionals.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple delivery streams.
• Strong understanding of governance requirements in health tech or other regulated domains.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location
This role is home based; therefore you will need to ensure you have a suitable space you can work from at home.
