Appeals Co-ordinator

Role Outline

We’re looking for an Appeals Coordinator to join our dynamic team! Based in Uckfield with flexible remote working options, this full-time role (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) is your chance to take the lead in managing appeals cases from fire and police authorities. You’ll be at the heart of operations, ensuring cases are handled seamlessly while providing vital administrative support to our board members.
Key Responsibilities
Management of appeals cases including;
Logging new cases.
Booking board meetings, including all communications with parties and board members as well as booking premises.
Preparation of case packs, record and maintain information relating to the receipt and dispatch of documentation and storage of records
Ensuring all parties and board members are provided with all documentation relating to the appeal.
Ensuring all parties and board members are provided with Appeal Documentation within the required timeframe
Ensuring appropriate arrangements/equipment are available on the date of the meeting to allow for smooth running of the session.
Ensuring board reports are processed promptly and are appropriately proofread to confirm quality before release.
Closing cases and coordinating any clarifications post report.
Ensure survey feedback and other MI is accurate and up to date on the required spreadsheets.
Collation of information for MI Reporting.
Collation of invoice information for accounts
Arranging payment and approval of invoices and updating of Balance sheet
Sourcing Clinical Specialists as directed by the Clinical Lead
Liaising with authorities, appellants, board members, internal staff and 3rd parties via telephone, email and letter.
Handle queries and escalations raised by third parties and internal stake holders.
Working within contractual SLAs and in line with the guidelines of the applicable schemes.
Liaising with and escalating issues to the Client Relationship Manager and Lead Chair.
Escalating complex cases or those that are progressing slowly to Clinical Lead and CRM.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a candidate with experience in diary or schedule management, who possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong IT skills are essential, including proficiency in database systems, Outlook, Word, and particularly Excel. Experience in customer service is highly desirable, along with the ability to use your own initiative and take a proactive approach to tasks. We are also looking for someone who is enthusiastic about their own professional development and willing to take an active role in it.
Hours
This role is a full time position, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm. You will be working 37.5 hours a week, 7.5 hours a day with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
Location
This role is based in Uckfield, East Sussex.
Salary
The salary for this role is £24,000K per annum.
