Role Outline

We are recruiting a HR Advisor to deliver a proactive and flexible HR service by providing relevant and appropriate HR support to all employees, whilst driving best practice and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, documented policies and employee legislation. You will build and develop relationships with managers and staff at all levels to provide support and guidance on a range of HR matters and share best practice.

To deliver an advisory service in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, Recruitment, organisational change and employee relations matters.  


Key Responsibilities
•    Provide professional, pro-active and business focussed Human Resources advice and support to all managers and employees whilst promoting HR best practice. Supporting Managers with the effective and efficient performance of all employees.
•    Assist the design and delivery of development workshops in areas of HR.
•    Support the HR Director to prepare briefings over a range of HR related topics. 
•    Contribute and support the continuous improvement of HR systems, practices and policies in the organisation
•    Provide an advisory service to employees ensuring that they are fully aware of their rights and entitlements
•    Support and deputise (where appropriate) for the HR Director as and when required, including attending meetings where necessary 
•    Contribute to the internal HR communications
•    Providing advice and assistance on policies, procedures and legislation as well as conducting policy reviews
•    Assist with monthly statistics reports
•    Offering advice, arranging and supporting disciplinary and grievance hearings, escalating concerns to HR Director
•    Support the HR Director and the wider team in delivery of HR elements of organisational and cultural change activities
•    Managing TUPE, contracting in and out
•    Assisting with employee queries and HR Administration

 

What we are looking for
•    Ability to identify development needs
•    Ability to write and present information and have confident IT skills and use of HR Systems
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, providing excellent customer service skills
•    Focus on delivery with excellent time management, have excellent organisational and planning skills with good attention to detail.
•    Knowledge of relevant HR policies, procedure, TUPE and working knowledge of employment legislation
•    Experience of interpreting, advising and implementing policies and procedures, providing advice and support to senior managers
•    Leading projects and implementing new initiatives
•    Strong HR Advisory experience
•    Understanding the need for confidentiality
•    Flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

 

Hours
This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week.

 

Location
Hybrid, working from our Uckfield office 1-2 days a week.

 

Salary
We are offering a competitive salary for this position depending on experience and qualifications
