Role Outline

As an Occupational Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality occupational health services. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of health surveillance assessments, administering health and wellbeing initiatives, and contributing to the smooth operation of our occupational health programs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health surveillance including audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, and health questionnaires.
  • Assist in the delivery of health promotion and education programs.
  • Support the Occupational Health Nurses and Physicians in the provision of a comprehensive occupational health service.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all medical interventions.
  • Ensure that all equipment is well-maintained, calibrated, and properly stored.
  • Stay up-to-date with current best practices

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident individual to work alongside a multidisciplinary occupational health team. You will be a self-motivated and have a proactive approach to your role, prioritising and managing your own workload.

 

There is no recognised professional qualification for this role however suitable backgrounds include: Health Care Assistant; Fitness Instructor; Ambulance EMT; Military Medic; Offshore Medic, etc.

 

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm and 7.30am to 2.45pm on Friday.

 

Salary

The salary for this position is £26,000 per annum
