Role Outline

We are seeking an exceptional Occupational Health Administrator to join our dynamic team in the heart of Devonport, Plymouth, on a full-time (37.5 hours per week) basis.
As the first point of contact for the workforce accessing occupational health, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and providing comprehensive reception and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Service including:
- Providing on-site administrative support to the Occupational Health (OH) Clinical Team based at Devonport Royal Dockyard by performing all aspects of administration work required to ensure successful running of the OH service.
- You will provide a face-to-face reception service to the workforce and our clients during the OH department's opening hours (Monday to Friday - 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM).
- You will be responsible for managing telephone and e-mail queries, seeking out and providing accurate information whilst maintaining strict confidentiality.
- You will support an Occupational Health Team including operations manager, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals with administrative tasks.
- You will be responsible for co-ordinating and maintaining the diaries for the clinical staff.
- You will have excellent IT skills to be able to use a bespoke medical appointment and booking system.
- You will order any required consumables and manage stock levels, and support the calibration and maintenance schedule of equipment.
- You will be familiar with handling confidential information with discretion and in accordance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a receptionist or administrator, preferably within a medical or healthcare setting (e.g. GP surgeries or similar).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to remain focused in a fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- IT competency and proficiency in MS Office suite and Teams, and have experience with healthcare management systems.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
Please note, this role is full time on-site at our client's site, Monday to Friday. The working hours are between 7.30am to 4pm (Monday to Thursday), and between 7.30am to 2.45pm (Fridays), with a 45 minute lunch break each day.
Salary
We are offering a salary of £22,503 for this position, depending on qualifications and experience.
