Role Outline

Health Partners have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor Team Leader to join our team.

As an Occupational Health Advisor Team Leader, you'll make a tangible and lasting difference to people's lives every day. You'll play an integral role in providing clear and professional advice to our clients' employees, and providing strong leadership to our OH Technicians and wider multidisciplinary team.

This is a full time position where you will be based at our clients site in Horsham 2-3 days a week and homebased 2-3 days a week. You will be required to travel to Devon, Somerset, Kent and Suffolk throughout the year for audits, apprasials and team events, this will equate to approximately 4 weeks.


What you'll be doing:

  • Assessing new clients presenting to Occupational Health, whether in person or by written referral and initiate management of case 
  • Assessing clients' fitness to work for the appropriate job role in line with HP policies and guidelines and issue appropriate fitness certificates.
  • Supporting, advising, monitoring and assessing the clinical practice of the OH team. 
  • Responding to client/manager’s requests for support/information on the working environment. 
  • Maintaining appropriate records in line with departmental protocols on record keeping.
  • Maintaining valid and up to date registration with the NMC and comply with NMC guidelines in relation to professional issues and clinical supervision. 
  • Promoting equality of opportunity and provide an environment in which the dignity of individuals is respected and free from workplace harassment and bullying. 
  • Developing good working relationships and maintain effective communications with client’s managers and other professionals and external contracts 
  • Responsible for equipment and its maintenance, resources and staff cover, clinical and administratively in partnership with the Construction Head of Nursing 
  • Providing Occupational Health employees with appropriate regular appraisals, ensuring training and development needs are identified and met

Skills

Registered Nurse (Part 1)
Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree/Diploma
IT literacy and competence
Excellent communicator with a range of stakeholders
Clear evidence of managerial experience
Demonstrates a clear understanding of professional accountability in the scope of professional practice
Approachable, polite and friendly to build and maintain strong working relationships and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment

Education & Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Occupational Health
Diploma

Salary

The salary for this position is £45,000 to £47,000 per annum

Certifications

Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
