Role Outline

Health Partners have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our collaborative, dynamic and multidisciplinary team.

This role requires you to be onsite two days a week at our clients site in Derby, you can then work additional days remotely.  We are able to consider full or part time (min 3 days a week) hours for this role.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing expert, evidence based case management services for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work and other requests for OH advice.  
  • Providing professional, comprehensive and evidence based written reports  
  • Providing expert advice in respect of legislative requirements and best practice relating to OH  
  • Providing fitness medicals and health surveillance where required that meet best practice requirements and in line with Health Partners’ policies and protocols 
  • Evaluating the results of medicals and surveillance provided, and ensuring that the correct advice in relation to fitness is communicated, escalating where clinically appropriate 
  • Committed to maintaining valid and up to date registration with the NMC and complying with NMC guidelines in relation to professional issues, clinical supervision and continuous learning and development as a registered nurse.

Skills

Registered Nurse (Part 1)
Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree/Diploma
Meticulous written skills and attention to detail
Excellent communicator with a range of stakeholders
Excellent time management skills
Understanding of own competence, how this relates to practice and where to escalate/seek support to ensure safe practice
IT literacy and competence
Comprehensive understanding of the principles and practice of data protection and confidentiality in OH
Case management and provision of OH advice
Ability to demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to work
Visible commitment to excellence in practice and a convincing advocate of proactive occupational health service delivery

Education & Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Occupational Health
Diploma

Salary

The salary for this positoin is £40,000 to £42,500 depending on experience.

Certifications

Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
