Role Outline

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our Finance Department, specialising in the Sales Ledger function. This role involves managing key financial processes such as client onboarding, revenue accruals, invoicing, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will build strong relationships across the business and with clients, ensuring smooth workflows, timely billing, and effective query resolution. You will also support colleagues in areas such as credit control, audit queries, and internal financial reporting, contributing to the overall efficiency of the Finance Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise Sales Invoicing, credit notes and issue statements.
  • Understand client contracts, ensure clients are invoiced in accordance with contract details
  • Liaise with other teams and account managers for smooth workflows across all areas, providing assistance where necessary
  • Conduct research for “on-account” payments received
  • Work through our current spreadsheet and process the fees for Lloyds.
  • Respond to queries and issues relating to Accounts Receivable
  • Process invoices, respond to requests, update balances in the accounting systems
  • Assist others within the Finance team on request

What we are looking for

 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised individual with experience in finance processes such as sales ledger, invoice processing, and revenue management. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to build professional relationships, and experience working to tight deadlines. Proficiency in systems like Sage 200 and SAP Concur is desirable, along with skills in bank reconciliation, statistical data management, and query handling. A team player with a proactive approach, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be committed to delivering high-quality work.

Hours

 

The hours for this role is 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm. 

Location

 

This role is a hybrid position. You will be expected to attend our head office in Brighton 3 days a week, whilst working the remaining two days from home.

Salary

The salary for this role is between £25,000K and £27,000K depending on qualifications and experience.
